Alpha Course
Next Course starting April 2024
Life is confusing. As you embark on your journey with Jesus, you will no doubt have a lot of questions. To help with some of these questions we run an Alpha course, where you can explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. This is an 8 week course, looking at who is Jesus? Why did Jesus die? And so many more questions.
Reading the Bible
The Bible is a big book and it’s difficult to know where to start. If you need a Bible, you can download a Bible to your mobile phone. One that we would recommend is the YouVersion Bible App, which you can download by clicking here. Alternatively, if you would prefer a hard copy of a Bible we can send you one. All you need to do it fill in a connect card and let us know.
There are a number of different translations of the Bible. To make it easier for you we would recommend using the New International Version (NIV) to begin with.
We at BCV have produced some resources to help you read the Bible, such as how to read the Bible and How to spend time with Jesus. You can access those by clicking here.
Community
We love to be family and the Bible encourages us to live in fellowship with other believers. We gather together on a Friday at 12noon in 39 North Street, Belfast, BT1 1NA and on a Sunday at 9.30am and 11.30am in 92-114 Cavehill Road, Belfast, BT15 5BT.
Online Church
Every Sunday we live stream our 11.30am service. This can be accessed via our weekly service page, which can be accessed here.
We also hold a service on a Friday Afternoon from 12noon on Facebook or in 39 North Street, BT1 1NA. To view this online, just log into Facebook and search for, ‘BCV Friday Church,’ to gain access to this service.
Life Groups
We want everyone who comes into contact with us to have a good opportunity to find some key friendships while they find places to develop their relationship with Jesus. Life groups are places where we simply do life together. Each group is a bit different in scope but are led by some of our best leaders, and are tied together with some key values, giving you a chance to choose a great group that suits your interests and schedule. Each group exists to provide you with a fun place to gather in-person and develop meaningful relationships with Jesus and others at your own pace.
We usually run Life groups in two terms, with sign ups in September and February. For more information please click here.
Prayer
Quite simply, prayer is talking to God. In the Vineyard, we love to pray. The Bible tells us to, ‘pray without ceasing,’ (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and we would love to pray for you. If you’re just starting out your journey with Jesus and you don’t know how to pray, just fill in a connect card and one of our pastors would love to help you with this. If you would like us to pray for you, you can request someone to pray for you, by clicking here.
