House of Prayer

7th September 2024, 9:30 am4:00 pm

We want to equip the church to partner with the Holy Spirit everywhere we go.  We want to see freedom and healing breakout, to see order brought to chaos in our own lives and those around us.  We are fully dependent on the Holy Spirit empowering us to do it. We want us all to be aware of His power in us,  to know how we can be refilled by Him and to feel courage to step out in faith and know that we can have a radical kingdom impact.

Join us for a day of teaching, worship, question panels and seminars. Come Holy Spirit….

Seminars
During the day we have two seminar slots.

Prayer Ministry  (Pete Stanyon and Andy Smith)
This session is all about learning to pray for others in person, inviting God to heal them physically, emotionally or spiritually. Whether you’ve seen prayer ministry on Sundays and are curious about joining the team, are already part of the team and would like a refresher, or fancy praying for people outside church… you are very welcome! The session will be very practical, with teaching on why we pray as well as training on how to do so and an opportunity to give it a go in a safe environment.

Leading ministry in your living room (Alan Carson)
Life groups are one of our key places where people receive ministry and practice stepping out in prayer.  This session will look at how we create a safe and fun environment in our homes where we expect to see the kingdom come in power.  Alan will give lots of wisdom and practical tips on how to lead a ministry time.

Walking in the prophetic (Katie Wilson and Karen DeLuke) -The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 14:1 to “desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.”  If you are wanting to live a more prophetic life, in this seminar Katie and Karen will be looking at what prophecy is and how it can help us partner with God in his plans as we pray for others.  There will stories to build our faith and practical activations to help us listen to what God might be saying  to us for others right now.

Deliverance ministry (Claire McFeeters)
‘For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.’
2 Corinthians 10:3-4

Jesus set many people free of demons and has called us to do the same.  He will give us the authority and lend us his power to set ourselves and others free from the lies and influence the enemy can have.  The hope for this seminar is that you will leave with confidence in your identity, courage to overcome the enemy and be able to step into freedom and help others do the same.

Encountering God’s Power in Quiet and Stillness (Linda and Lila)
‘I wait quietly before God,
for my victory comes from him.’
Psalm 62:1

Have you ever wondered how God’s power can be encountered in quiet and stillness and how it can become a gateway to a deepening relationship with God? Do you struggle to settle and rest quietly in Jesus’ presence when life is so busy and full of distractions? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions come and join Lila and Linda in this session to explore this further and find out how to create a pattern of silence amid the demands of a busy, noisy life.

Prayer as Kingdom mission – power in intercession (Jennifer Orr)
Did you know that intercessory prayer is mission? Arguably it’s the one which should go before and alongside every other mission in the Kingdom of God! Let’s remind ourselves of its strategic importance. What even is it? Why is it important? How do we go about it? Gain fresh encouragement to partner with God in prayer mission for our church, city and beyond whether you’ve been involved for a while or are wanting to find out more.

Releasing Gods power in our work places (Panel)
What would happen if we became very intentional in partnering with the Holy Spirit and released his power in our places of work What impact could we have on our boss, our colleagues and the people we encounter every day.  Join Alan as he interviews a panel of people who have experience, stories and hearts full of faith for the impossible to happen in their daily lives.
